For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Take Hold: More Than a Moment – 2026

Everyday Moments Carry Eternal Weight

Have you ever noticed how quickly a simple conversation can change a life? In John 4:7,

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. “Give me a drink,” Jesus said to her

Jesus asks a Samaritan woman for a drink, and that small request opens a conversation that transforms her and sparks renewal in her town. That story reminds us that big moves of God often begin in everyday moments such as a coffee shop chat, a quick errand, or a friendly hello. When we pay attention and obey, those moments become more than a moment.

Over the last two years, FMTracts volunteers have experienced this again and again. We have handed out over 22,000 gospel tracts, small illustrated pieces of paper that explain Jesus’ message, across Fargo and Moorhead.

Those tracts led to meaningful conversations, prayers in the middle of downtown, and countless seeds planted. Whether we were serving during Halloween outreach, sharing creative optical illusion tracts at a Trunk or Treat event, or distributing tracts at a Charlie Kirk vigil, each moment represents real people who heard the hope of the Gospel. The harvest truly is plentiful, and every act of obedience matters.

Proof of Momentum

Seeds Planted in 2025

Downtown Halloween Outreach. Volunteers bundled up, prayed for divine appointments, and stepped into downtown with boldness. Conversations ranged from reconnecting with someone from the past, to praying with individuals who asked for help for their families, to gently engaging with those who disagreed with our message. Fear turned into peace as God opened doors and protected the team.

Trunk or Treat. At our Trunk or Treat outreach, the message was simple. Two tracts of different sizes appeared to change size when flipped. The visual sparked curiosity and opened doors for gospel conversations.

Charlie Kirk Vigil. During a Charlie Kirk vigil, we distributed tracts, prayed with attendees, and discovered that people were surprisingly open to Jesus. We even tried a new sign, and before the outreach began, a passerby requested prayer. These moments showed that Fargo Moorhead is hungry for hope.

Weekend Encounters. On another weekend, we met someone who kept every tract he had received since the previous year and reread them as reminders. We also faced spiritual opposition when a demon oppressed man reacted violently to prayer. Yet we witnessed God’s protection and were encouraged by Christians who crossed our path.

Ministry Foundations

FMTracts exists to plant seeds through The Fields, walk with new believers through The Harvest, and cover the mission in prayer through the Prayer Team. At our launch picnic in June, we celebrated these three initiatives, worshiped together, and outlined ways to get involved, from joining outreach teams and mentorship programs to praying and giving. We believe every believer has a role to play in evangelism, discipleship, and prayer.

A Story of a Moment That Mattered

One of my favorite stories from last year did not happen at an event. It happened on an ordinary weekday. After getting my oil changed, I glanced at the shop’s front window and saw something unusual: a giant $100 bill. It was not real money but a gospel tract. Months earlier, I had left that tract behind. The staff could have thrown it away. Instead, they propped it up so every customer could see it.

It made me think of Jesus’ parable of the sower in Matthew 13. Some seeds fall on rocky ground. Some fall among thorns. Some land in good soil and bear fruit. I wondered if someone had been thinking about the message. I wondered if God had used this small creative tract to stir a heart. I may never know. But seeing that tract still there reminded me that obedience in small things has lasting impact.

Vision for 2026: Take Hold: More Than a Moment

As we look ahead to 2026, our theme “Take Hold: More Than a Moment” is a call to action rooted in Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman in John 4:7. In that story, a simple request led to a life transformed and a community awakened.

Our prayer is that we, too, will take hold of ordinary moments such as conversations at work, chance meetings at the grocery store, or playdates at the park, and allow God to turn them into divine appointments. One minute of obedience can change someone’s eternity. You do not need special training or a title to share hope. You simply need to be willing to listen, ask a question, offer prayer, and share the message of Jesus.

We want to build on the momentum of thousands of tracts distributed and hundreds of conversations. In 2026, we hope to expand our outreach teams, deepen discipleship, equip more believers through training, and partner with more churches and businesses. We will continue creative outreach at local events and develop new ways to engage those who are hesitant about faith. Most importantly, we want to see everyday believers like you take hold of their God given opportunities.

Join the Movement

If your heart is stirred by these stories, there are several ways to be part of the 2026 season.

  • Join an outreach. Sign up for a street team or volunteer at events. We will provide tracts and simple conversation guides.
  • Partner as a church or business. Invite us to train your congregation, host outreach events, or collaborate on community service projects.
  • Volunteer behind the scenes. Help design creative tracts, plan events, or mentor new believers through our Harvest discipleship program.
  • Pray and give. Become part of our prayer team, intercede for those we meet, and consider monthly or one time financial support to print tracts and equip volunteers.
  • Request more information. Reach out through our website or send us a message. We would love to connect and help you find your place.

The season ahead is not just about numbers or events. It is about people encountering Jesus. We have seen what God can do when we show up, pray, and open our mouths. Will you take hold of the moments in front of you? Imagine what God might do if hundreds of ordinary believers stepped out in faith this year.

Let us make 2026 the year we see Fargo Moorhead transformed, one conversation at a time. Take hold. It is more than a moment. It is a movement.
