The last few weeks have been different and a little crazy! One of our team leaders got married, so we celebrated that a couple weekends ago. ๐
Instead of going out that weekend, we attended the vigil with Charlie Kirk. Right now feels like a unique time. People are more receptive to hearing the Gospel and more open to Jesus. At the vigil we distributed over 700 tracts, prayed with people, and had meaningful conversations.
This past weekend, after church, we went out again. This time we tried something new by bringing a sign. Almost immediately before we prayed to begin, a man walked by and said, โI have a lot going on, no time to explain, but I need prayer.โ We prayed for God is bringing people right to us.
We made some connections, had some conversations, and answered questions people had. Sunday downtown was pretty busy. We are excited to see what God brings for the rest of the season
1 Corinthians 2:14 reminds us:
โThe person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.โ
Because of this, we cannot let fear of someoneโs reaction hold us back. Some will not understand, and that is okay. Our call is to be faithful and bold. You never know what conversation you will walk into or what someone is waiting to hear.
It is time for Christians to be bold and to step up. If you are being called to leadership or ministry, ANSWER THE CALL. When the Holy Spirit is prompting you, LISTEN. Do not let a moment pass by where you ignore Him.
Jesus said:
โThe harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.โ โ Luke 10:2
